Tony Corballis, The Language Coach for Leaders, has leadership and real-world organisational experience, great academic credentials and extensive relevant coaching experience: the combination is well-founded professionalism you can trust.

Organisational experience

He used to head four departments within London's Southwark College, including the prestigious Medical English school, which assists non-native English-speaking doctors reach registration in the UK, overall responsibility for IELTS and Cambridge examination centres, and the academic English and English as a Foreign Language schools.

Beyond operational line management of a number of teams, he was involved in strategy, financial accountability, marketing, and bringing about culture change following incorporation. Tony has also worked in NGO media relations and public communications. And he has explored organisational communication, in particular as it relates to cross-culture, in some depth, as post-graduate study.

Academic credentials

With a Business Studies Degree in Information Systems and a Master of Arts Degree in Communications Management, Tony Corballis also has Trinity College Certification and a Trinity College Licentiate Diploma in Tesol. What's more, he's received over 320 hours formal public-sector professional development in management training and communication skills, in teaching-learning methodologies and in assessment systems.

Relevant coaching experience

He has seventeen years' experience in coaching, training and assessment. His main focus is executive coaching and language support both in small and large corporations and for presidential and royal families in Asia and the Gulf, voice-work for presentations and interviews, advanced writing, international business studies and business English, and academic English.

He has also worked extensively in writing and editing for international writers, ghost-writing for transnational publicists, copywriting, motivational mentoring, study skills coaching, and high-level communication skills training, largely for advanced speakers of English and bilingual leaders.

Learning materials development

Also involved in the design of the services he is in, Tony has developed extensive English for business and IT, and academic English learning materials for electronic media, including dedicated work in both private and university sectors. These interactive courses for online and blended delivery have been brought to market in universities across Australia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and in the United Kingdom.

He has just written his second textbook, called English for Management, published by Garnet Education and for worldwide distribution.

He has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the USA and Australia and speaks fluent Spanish. Content to be self-employed, he can usually be found rushing upon motorcycle between central London universities and other clients, and his keyboard at home, or otherwise revitalising amid tree ferns or on a rocky coastline in Spain, New Zealand or South America.
